You were vastly smarter about all of this than I was at your age. I'm torn between being very impressed and having a strong sense of regret about missed opportunities.

Thank you so much this video was very motivating. I'm on my 3d semester for electrical engineering and I'm at a similar situation as you were in your junior year. I dont have a high paying internship so it's hard to imagine that I will be able to save that much within the next few years. What are some mentalities that kept you disciplined to your plan?

Hey Sara, I'm a computer engineer too! I recently broke 100k, it was hard but worth it!

So what did you do with or plan to do with the $100k? Would real estate be a smart move?

Well you were living under the right circumstances.... Hard work pays off only when other stuff works. All you had to do was show a chart of what your starting balance was and each year even if it was an estimate.... WTF!!!!

First of all, congrats on getting the first $100k so quickly! Awesome book picks too. I would add 1. One up on Wall Street-Peter Lynch 2. 5 Rules to Successful Stock Market Investing- Pat Dorsey 3. The Intelligent Investor- Benjamin Graham. Discipline is the currency of success. You clearly have it! As someone who retired at 34 with the same principles (but far less formal education) I’ll be subscribing and following the journey. I hope this content reaches more and more people. FIRE is very real.
