Surprisingly despite all the limitations of the Harrier it still has one of the best loss exchange ratios among post WW2 fighters. In real combat it performed extremely well.

I always thought boundary layer control on the intake was more of a supersonic problem.

Seems to be the Kestrel. The slot at the engine entrance might be for the front diverters for the diverting the air towards the ground

You can clearly see it isnt stealth. No angles on the air intake, exposed rivets.

Calling the aerodynamics of the Harriet bad is over exaggerating. It was adequate for the time.

More like a briliant design for the time. He waxs lyrical about the aerodynamics of the SU 57 - which would be great if it were a 4th gen world. Its all about context.

Can you make a video about pros and cons of laser guidance and laser beam riding ?

I heard that the Marines would shut off the engines in certain vertical landing situations around 15 ft off the ground to avoid debris sucked in the engines

..avoiding supersonic air reaching the engine might be a good thing? some other designs seem to have mitigations against that, adding stuff in front of the engine the faster it goes.

Any chance of a video analysis of AV8B effectiveness, practicality for utilisation by the Ukrainian Airforce? There is so much garbage info out there on this, it would be nice for a non BS take. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Two words, Falkland Islands. Nuff said.

Nope, that slot is precisely for boundary layer control.

The RAF liked the Harrier so much it bought 200 Jaguars; it only bought 60 Harrier Is.

I feel like maybe the guys who successfully designed the first VTOL jet might know more about aerodynamics than some guy flaming them on YouTube/Tiktok.
