The iPhone 5 was around the same price as the iPhone 5s when it first released so obviously if you were able to afford that one its not a "poor man's iPhone" and besides maybe some people just want a different color, no sense in buying a brand new phone that has barely any more features when you can just change the color of the one you already have. That would be stupid to me
