Just had this repair done. I am good ay working on my Datsuns.... was hesistant to mess with the AC myself. My educated guess was that it was the capacitator.... had an ac TECH do a service call... Total $333, was taken for quite a ride. $$$$ down the drain.... Next time i will save the money and do it myself if possible, save that $ for the datsuns!!! Thanks for posting A++++

I would use an AmRad capacitor with a CPT terminal if using a hard start capacitor. AmRad is top shelf and in a league of their own. American made too.

All a hard start consist of is a start cap and potential relay
