I love the look on Gaius’s face so much. That look of confusion, like “what on earth could make you throw away what you have?” And the conviction in Matthew’s face, like “it’s not enough and it will never be enough if I don’t follow Him”.

Not too long ago my dad taught me that I must leave my old life behind in order to live freely with God in my heart. I feel the difference and its amazing! Praise the Lord!

I was born ina Christian family, but never really followed Jesus until my 19th year. That's when I really had an encouter with Jesus. Was at a club to celebrate a friend's birthday, when I heard the Lord say "Didn't I tell you to stop going to such places? (And yes, He did tell me before but I was too stubborn) Let Me show you why." The things I saw in the spirit... i can't even begin to tell, it would take me hours 😅
Long story short, I ran back home, straight to my room, locked the door, put on some worship music and started crying, asking Jesus to forgive me. I said I'd give myself fully to Him if He deemed me worthy to serve Him. And He said, "If only you knew how much I love you." Those words, that kindness, that love... I'll never forget that moment until my last breath.

So yeah. That was almost 16 years ago, and until now, I never turned back. Jesus is so amazing, God is so amazing, I can't imagine my life without Him ❤

I thought it was fascinating that they portrayed Matthew as being on the autism spectrum. I'd never considered it before (it's a little difficult to tell these things through layers of translation) but it makes sense when i reread his book. This scene really resonates with me - even socially impaired people like Matthew can add value to a group and are deserving of Jesus' love.

God changed my life similarly to this. I was doing good with money, my dad would give me cars, and I always had a young beautiful lady by my side. I gave it all up to follow Jesus and He has transformed me and my family, I get to spend quality time with them, and I love my life now because I get to serve an AMAZING GOD, hallelujah God is good ❤🙌🏽
