I think you might be comparing apples to oranges here. 1. You have recorded a modern compressed pop track (Taylot Swift) on very low level (amplitude), then compared it with a non-compressed track, recorded at higher amplitude. Of course they will look different in a sound editor. 2. Your comparison is not really about vinyl vs digital but about modern pop production vs. older style pop production. Nothing to do with delivery format at all. It is also good to realize that when you record an analog track on Audacity it is being digitized. In other words: your demonstration actually shows that digital (even the Youtube compressed digital) is perfectly capable of preserving the quality of the Van Morrison track. ;) I also do not quite get what you mean by 45 000 Hz recording. Do you mean that you recorded the tracks with 45 000 Hz sample rate? In that case the maximum output frequency is about 22 500 Hz. The Audacity graph you are pointing at when talking about this does not show you the frequency spectrum but the amplitude of the signal.
