Moving physical controls to a touch screen is a mistake. Car makers are only just getting around to learning this.

1500€ for this controller Is very absurd.

Pioneer DJ have long standing traditions they have to maintain in order to not alienate their longstanding customer Base Alpha Theta DJ allows them to cater to a slightly different demographic with the same technologies just different looks and slightly different core design to the tried and true Pioneer DJ approach which will surely continue to satisfy customers for decades. It’s actually genius tbh.

Don't like the idea of digging through menus for stuff, we buy controllers etc because we want physical buttons.

literally anything that’s an all-in-one device will always have a bunch of compromises or sacrifices
never trust anything or anyone that says they “have it all”

That controller is sick. I have a full size serato setup so a standalone that can do phone requests and run on battery is unique enough comparatively to want to own both.

Seems like Alpha Theta is taking a page out of inMusic's book. Rane is for traditional DJs while Denon/Numark is for standalone controllers. I guess now Pioneer DJ will be the direct competitor to Rane, and AlphaTheta will be the direct competitor to Denon/Numark.

Thank you for this very complete review! AT might be expanding horizons. The blootooth function is crazy. Let's see what the future brings!

The price is high, but anyone who has tried the Omnis Duo knows that it absolutely bangs

Excited for the future of all-in-one portable dj devices

Denon and Numark are ahead numark especially selling for half price, so Ominous is a rip off selling same price as flagship pro decks considering 99.9% of DJs will only need this as backup, practice or making playlist. So its actually not required as main deck for serious djing events. Got my mixstream pro brand new sealed from a guy for £300. Best deal ever!

DDJ800 user here. I haven't found where upgrading to anything is groundbreakingly worthwhile, yet. But I am always happy to come to Dj Carlo for the latest and greatest out there!

I recently used an OPUS Quad for the first time ever, and with only 30 minutes to rehearse before my frist ever real nightclub performance, I was VERY nervous doing a show with completely new hardware. I caught on very quickly, however, and despite being intimidated early on, I ended up ABSOLUTELY LOVING the layout; the dial for the loops was kind of addicting, to be honest, and the selection method for the effects, as well as having 6 different options for the dials to turn filter, dub echo, and more... I REALLY want one! I was very happy with the entire night, and boy do I so very badly want to get my hands on one! The Omnis duo has also caught my attention, especially the ability to capture any audio from bluetooth, as do the wireless speakers. I'd love to travel and do shows in unique locations that might not always have power readily available, and lugging a generator around isn't exactly practical in some cases. What an awesome time to be a developing DJ!!! :)

Nice review, FLX4 still hits the money for my daily shenanigans.

The Euphonia looks great, I like that there are taking risks with the layout design

A bit off topic, I think the Hercules and Reloop controllers have been so “revolutionary” and useful (with djay making it super accessible to use with ur phone and iPad too!). That being said, do u think there will ever be a mini controller with all FLX10/Rane-4 features on djay App? 👀

Thanks for giving us that history lesson. I finally understand that it's not the end of pioneer dj.

I was going to settle for the hercules impulse 500. Then I got a good deal for a pioneer dj DDJ rev 1. So far I'm enjoying it. Just learning more scratching tips . Also works amazing with Djay pro although I still use serato dj pro .

We are discussing Omnis Duo as if Denon Prime Go didn’t exist for the past 4 years…

I was torn between picking up the XDJ Rx3 or the Omnis Duo this week. I ultimately chose the RX3 because it matched my current workflow. Part of me has gear FOMO but I’m more than certain down the line having a battery standalone is the move for all mobile djs who are looking to lighten their gear bag.

I hope there could be more of a “pro” version under the Pioneer DJ brand but at this point, we are just paying for the name. It’s all the same team anyway.

No doubt though that the Omnis Duo is at the front of the pack with portability and usability (when streaming capabilities are loaded in)

Does it have connection to beatport / beatsource ? Can you make comparation with numark mixstream pro?
