My mimic tear soloed messemer with impenetrable thorns. I summoned him, dodged the 1st attack and ran over to summon the NPC and mimic sent us to phase 2 before I got to the summon sign

I was using Rellana for a while, on a very high level character, and what I found is that the weapon just doesn't have enough poise or poise damage, specially on the ashes of war. It made me swap over to the humble Milady, with the Winged Stance ash of war and a bleed infusion, using the Deflect crystal tear on my physik, and I never looked back.

I wish Rellana's L1 when dual wielding was a block to unlock that playstyle.

I havent had a ton of experience with a lot of weapons in the dlc yet but i can definitely say so far the star lined sword (#8 or 9 i believe) is AMAZING. The ash of war does insane damage and youre also extremely evasive and hard to hit while using it. It staggers almost every single normal enemy but does have a tougher time stagger bosses (although definitely not impossible). Its base atack damage is also insane, definitely stronger than any katana in the base game.

My build in case anyones curious:

I pair this with the nagakiba, horn bow, & carian regal scepter.

Armor of your choice but i reccomend the ronin or white reed set.

Talismans: shard of alexander, dragoncrest greatshield talisman, claw talisman, and magic scorpion charm.

Help with the Rellana twin blades, do I need to get it twice to dual wield? Or does the one weapon count as both?

Because I assumed it was two swords, one for each hand but no matter what my stupid ass does I can not get it to work that way. For some reason I also cant get the fire spin to work, only the magic ash. I feel like I must have my layout messed up somehow.

Orginally I thought it was becauae I had a shield on too so I got rid of thar but I'm still only using the magic sword so to say rather than getting to use the fire half. I'm on ps5.
