Why do other people look at INFPs so negatively?

Today's question is: Why do other people look at INFPs so negatively?

With the help of a tailor-made learning curriculum and working directly with a mentor, you too can reparent yourself in a loving way, leave your childhood pain behind, and live a life of freedom and creativity.

Here's feedback from one of my past students:
"The mentoring calls that are part of the program have been life-altering for me as well. This program is a gift I have given myself and I vowed to push myself by being as open and honest as possible. Merja truly sees you and holds you in such a compassionate regard that you feel safe enough to show those sides of yourself that rarely see the light of day."

Why are we doing this work? My vision is to create in-person safe houses in Australia, Europe, and North America, where people like us struggling to let go of their past can come for 6-12 months, reparent themselves, heal, and maybe even study a new profession, learn solid life skills and change the tracks of their lives.

Why do INFP's draw Narcissistic people into being friends or in relationships?? Do we come off as too nice or easy to manipulate??

Thank you! I'm an INFP, and although I've got friends and former co-workers who appreciate my kind, I've also had my fair share of exposure of people who've treated me like s**t because I'm "different" and that I even pursue a way, way different path than most people around me. I've learned to accept my cognitive functions and my personality and I'm gradually learning how to take advantage of it, but there are days when I get annoyed by these INFP videos that seem to put down INFPs by giving stereotypical labels.

My gosh. So much of this made me realize where all the negative comments from people have been coming from.
I've said since I was nineteen that people either love or hate me, and that there's no middle ground. I've been told I intimidate people, that I act like or think I'm perfect all the time, that I make it all about me, that I'm a narcissist...
That last one had me in therapy for some three months, crying what felt like every single time we met, because it's so antithetical to who I am. I love people, and i care deeply for them, but when I hurt, I've clung to people in the past, and in this case, this person flipped everything around so I was the problem, not them. It was one of the most bewildering, invalidating experiences.
I've learned not to hold people so tightly, to recognize that there can be different levels in friendships and other relationships--no one person can provide all your needs.
Thank you so very much for what you've said here. It means a lot, and, while it brought up some extremely painful things, it reiterated to me that people just do not understand each other, and when we are in that place, we can unthinkingly, or otherwise, wound each other in some very deep places.

I have so much more to say, but I don't want to write an entire novel in the comment section. :) Maybe I'll write to you guys, just to express some difficulties I'm having. I don't know if you can help in any way, but I'm going to seriously consider it. Yours is the first place that's actually offered help, and said things in ways that were understandable. There are some who've talked about INFPs and gone completely over my head. So, again, thank you.

Hi. I am truly an infp. I'm in bad shape and need guidance. Nobody understands me and I'm lost

It sucks to be a family member or in a relationship with an INFP.
INFPs are only good for friends and acquaintances.
