thats not the proper way how to do it my friend . there is one white dot on the lens and another on the camera's "body" they need to be aligned both than twist or rotate the lens, white dots are there for a reason.

First turn off the camera. Or make sure it is off. Then line up those white dots. (Didn't you notice them?)
