FIRST! Hmm project suggestions... add rockets ;)

Nice ideas, and well executed. I will, however, add a few suggestions: 1. At these Reynolds numbers (yes I went there), long skinny wings like those are not the best planform. Stubby wings actually do work better at this size. 2. Add dihedral. A lot of it. This allows you to go from tossing the model across the yard to being able to trim it to handle as hard of a throw as you can give it so that it'll pop into a glide 50 feet up and fly better than you could ever have imagined. Which leads us to 3. use CA glue instead of hot glue so the wings stay on when you throw it hard enough to make it pop into that glide 50' up.

Nice! I see I'm not the only one using spare parts to create some plane to get some extra fun. Add a slingshot for power take off and enjoy for hours 😁👍🏻 thanks for sharing!

Would thin cardboard work for the wings?

Nice! My 8 year old son might prefer building and flying one of these over launching my 3D printed gliders.

did kinda similar couple years ago but used the top of a styrofoam egg carton as the main wing. skewer goes low through the center dimple for a high wing, cover top "hole" of center dimple with tape (can introduce dihedral as doing). pinch leading/trailing edges top down flat thin, V tail is cut from a corner of the egg carton lid. add nose weight, do some glide downs, once really good, couple spots of type 2 wood glue to lock things in place. looks REALLY similar and definitely "something great out of practically nothing" making good use of stuff that'd usually be tossed out in the garbage. you should have a go at it, maybe a "how to" video (because I never will lmao!). not bragging, indoors the glide ratio is easily 15-16:1, clear across the livingroom dropping about 1 ft. skewer tip is about 5" ahead of the wing, the longer lever needing less nose weight.

Love it! And I loved the video itself.

I made a dual fuselage 70 cm wingspan version with an electric motor and direct connection to a battery it flies untill the battery dies wich is 2 cells so about 1 minute
