The magistrate’s clerk really needs to mute random idiots that roll in…

I was once asked by an old friend and mentor, "Who is the most important person in a courtroom from the judge's perspective?" I pondered, and he said, quite wisely, the losing litigant. If he leaves the court satisfied, not with the verdict, but that he got a fair hearing of the evidence, and was allowed to participate in the process, then the judge has done his job. This guy, from the matters I've seen, reviews the files prior, and has an excellent grasp of the subject matter going in. He, I think, does a great job.

People who come to zoom court should be fined and ticketed if caught driving, texting, inappropriate clothing, hats, 🚬 🚭 🚬, eating, and being ignorant or outright disrespectful of our courts. Period! When us a judge going to hold people accountable? MadAsHellInArizona! 😠 😡 😤

Rule #1. Get a contract before doing any work. Make copies. #2. Video your work and take photographs of proof of work. #3. Save video and proof. #4. Enjoy the peace of knowing you're protecting yourself. This goes for homeowners too. Cover your butt because there are liars and thieves out there among the good honest workers. And check references, licenses and insurance before signing anything.

I started out thinking this woman was trying to pull one. However, the more I hear the more think she’s the credible one.

1. No work without a written contract.
2. Photographs taken before work begins.
3. Photographs taken at the beginning and end of each work day.
4. Photographs taken at the completion of work after cleanup of the site.

This isn't just for legal protection -- if you're doing your work right, they'll also be great training tools for your crew and valuable proof of your track record of professional, quality service. (Some tree services also get both YouTube revenue and advertising out of videoing their work; it's a modestly popular genre. Win-win.)

As a contractor I have never forced work on a client and then billed them. I have, many times however, have had a homeowner hire me, have me provide labor and thousands of dollars of material’s completing their project, and they do not want to pay me. Usually doctors and lawyers do not pay.

Dude was laughing throughout the whole hearing like his case was a slam dunk and then at the end the frown was hilarious! I mean, soon as i heard there was no contract i thought it was going to be hard to prove anything else. Seemed fair to me

Why does Lindy not realize he's responsible for the utterly annoying background noise interference or the judge give an order to mute to the other dingdongs looking on with vacant stares?!

Who lets random people join without automatically muting them? 🤦‍♂️

How did the judge miss the fact that lady was Driving while her court case was going on? Every judge I’ve seen has told a person to pull over.

Judge should have told everyone to mute their mics. My GOD!

First and foremost if you do work you should never do anything without a contract. If you do work without a contract, you are partially responsible for the headaches that will come.

Dugas was a bit of a narcissist and a nutjob. I'm guessing she refused to let him do the job and he didn't like that so he thought he's just do the job and intimidate her into paying, sue her (like he did) if she doesn't pay. Once she stood up to him and actually filed a trespass order he went out and took pictures and filed his suit, then went and lied his ass off. In my opinion he should be charged with purgery and she should sue him for the harassment.

I can’t believe the judge let her appear while driving the entire time. AND I would have liked to have seen the text messages as proof.

This is wild.... I paid $300 to have one palm tree cut down in Central CA -- $100/tree is a freaking deal 😂😂

It's customers like this that had me asking for pre payment from clients.

This one has me a little confused. Why would he claim he cut down 3 of the 5 trees & take it this far if he had, in fact, not cut them down? Obviously, one of them is not being truthful. Is this a case of a shady tree guy or deadbeat homeowner not wanting to pay? Curious to hear what other's think?

There are 2 sides to every story, but that tree cutter came off like a crazy person.
