How to auto sync videos on TikTok

The auto-sync video option in TikTok basically edits your videos for you.

All you need is the clips you want to use already recorded on your phone.

First, press the plus sign to upload a new video.
Then choose upload and select all the clips you want to use.

Once you bring in the new clips, it will by default sync them to the song you choose. But you can change the song and resync again. You can also edit individual clips and move the clips around in the sync sound menu.

Once you are happy with the auto-sync, click next and add filters, voiceover, text, and anything else you want before posting the TikTok video.

It's a bummer you can't change duration time on each clip, auto sync locks the clip length

In case you can’t find Sound Sync, make sure you have more than one clip selected. I highly suggest cutting a bunch of small clips of cool highlights instead of relying on the good parts getting auto-selected. It will cut down on the editing time by a lot.

@Howfinity, I have seen this video two years late. I have the iPhone 14 Pro. I have joined TikTok this year. I don’t have auto sync but have sound sync. Do they work the same way?? Confused.

Honestly the tik tok app blows. It has much potential to be way better and it just fails in every way when it comes to this and advanced features. What is so frustrating is the best tok toks on there are all post edited and perfected by production teams so you'll never be able to complete with them.


Don't get me wrong tik tok ad a base app is good but there is just so much you can't do. Evne dubsmash it was 10000% easier to sync audio and took legit 30 secs. This takes over 30mins to get right it blows.

I’m trying to make lyrics fit into the video but the intro is so long that’s all that plays, and that’s not what I want. I’ve been trying to make it work for like 20 minutes at least and it’s driving me nuts because nothing is working 🥲 I can’t get it right. When my videos and the sound is ready, there’s no option to adjust which part of the sound is going to play. I hate it
