Also a good idea if charging indoors to have an adequate fire safe container (mid size steel trash can) so you have somewhere to throw it in after it pops and you can remove it safely instead of sending juicy sparks all over the place on the way out; Ask me how I know this.

I had a little 2s make a high frequency buzz once when I touched the wires when changing connector for a fraction of a second so I put it in a metal biscuit tin outside for the night it took 8 or 9 hours and at 7 am the next morning plumes of smoke were coming from the biscuit tin outside was just a 500mah 2s but still would have been a fire brigade situation if it was inside let alone the fumes around my kids

Good idea to use a fireproof lipo safe bag at least as well

Put a temp sensor on it with a big display. A temp sensor that doesn't auto shutoff. Wonder if they make a temp sensor that can give warning via bluetooth or wifi to your phone.

Turn it off???. If it starts hissing... You have seconds before it combusts into flames.

All my old chargers has a pprt for a temp probe. And I use always I charge Lipos. I really don't know why the new chargers remove this fratures. I have be saved from a lipo incident 3 times when the lipo warm up and the charger stop charge and bip.

Well, that doesn’t help the fact that my lipos keep randomly dying as in losing cells for no good reason at all after being in storage voltage for like sometimes even a day

I've had a moderately puffy LiPo battery for well over a year with no issue. Yes you need to be careful, but this is not necessarily a situation where you need to stop charging or using it

They don't sell temp sensor for the batteries? I have a bunch of old lipo chargers and temp sensor. This is the real failsafe

Alright I got a little confused I have an r c boat that runs on

2 2s batteries that are 7.4V and 4200mah

But they say that I can run a 4s only 1of them.. why not 2? Also the 4s is a 8000mah and 14.8

Would the 4s last longer? Or give it more speed?

I'm just a little confused because if i'm running 2 of the 2s thats 8400mah combined.. that would last longer wouldnt it?.. just alittle confused
