Hey Paul! The egg is a brown banded bambooshark or its scientific name Chiloscyllium punctatum. When it hatches my secret trick for getting them to eat if they won't eat anything else is the melt of squid (the bright white organ). I've never seen other people use this trick, but I discovered it and it works wonders on those that don't want to ear! I work with all kinds of sharks on a daily. So if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Hey Paul, honestly if the BBBS does grow successfully and you end up keeping it until it gets too big for the tank I really don’t wanna see it go 😭. Maybe in the process of its growth you can build a saltwater pond in the upcoming building in the back 😬🥺😬

This is so cool, it brings back memories of when I was younger and my brother bought a shark egg for his tank. It hatched and we hand fed it and everything, it was so cool

I found a shark egg once and actually thought it was a mango seed or a mangrove seed...😓 now I realize what I found and why it never grew.
