5 Ways to Choose the Right Moving Company

Are you overwhelmed by choices when it comes to picking your local Houston movers? Not sure how to choose the best moving company? Tempted by movers with considerably lower rates than the competition? If so, this is for you!

This week's Monday Moving Minute is all about showing you how to separate the reliable moving companies from the ones you need to stay away from.

1. First of all, you have to do your research! This is the most important step. Does your moving company have good or bad reviews? Is the company online or referral based?

2. Ask the right questions. Do you require a deposit? What happens if something gets damaged? Are you insured?

4. Get your proposal in writing. Make sure you read and understand all of the fine print in the document. Find out the terms and conditions, insurance, and more. Ask questions if there's anything you don't understand. The right moving company will be glad you asked and happy to explain.

5. Beware of low prices and shady estimates. If a price is significantly lower than the competition, it's probably too good to be true. Make sure the company has an actual physical location and phone number.
