As a British citizen I am horrified by my government. How can we do this? It us the same as sanctioning the pope (head of Catholic Church) or the Queen (Head of the Church of England). As a Christian I feel we are being persecuted for our love of God as our saviour. We need to pray for our fellow Christians and all who believe in our Lord 🙏

The Russian Orthodox Church is growing exponentially here in the Philippines. When we moved here in 2018 we could attend the Orthodox Cathedral in Manila, but it was more than an hour drive through difficult traffic. Now we have three Russian Orthodox Missions inside a 30 minute drive. Really beautiful.

There is a Greek Orthodox presence in the town I live near... when my husband was dying of cancer, I wrote or called every local church, begging them to pray for my husband. I truly believed if it was God's will, he would have made a full recovery. I wrote an email to the Greek Orthodox priest and he wrote back and assured me he would keep my husband in his prayers and would pray for him in the services... My husband did die, but I will never forget the kindness of that priest. I still haven't done what I wanted to do.. give something to the community in gratitude. In contrast, the local Catholic church didn't even acknowledge my pleading requests for prayer. I was truly desperate. I don't think the Greek Orthodox priest cared that I was a fallen away Catholic or a complete stranger. He knew I was a fellow Christian begging for prayers.
I honestly believe the Anglican church is no longer loyal to Jesus Christ. They won't defend the Orthodox. Oh, I am sure their are many Christians in Britain who still love Jesus Christ, but the church is lost. They won't stand up for the rights of the Orthodox to practice their religion in their own way. The same is true of the Episcopal church, in this country. You can serve Christ or the secular culture of this century, you can't serve both.

I have an instructor buddy of mine that is a part of the Eastern Orthodox Church in Troutdale, just outside Portland. He was one of the guys that trained me to drive trucks so I could get my CDL about 9 months ago. I didn’t know they existed over here until then. And after seeing some proceedings, the Orthodox Church has some serious Chad energy.

Also the EU wanted to ban patriarch Kiril, but Hungary opposed to this, and they were forced to renounce to the banning.
Please note that Hungary is a Catholic-Protestant nation, and Viktor Orbán and Hungary's president Katalin Novák are both Calvinist Protestants, and still Hungary vetoed Patriarch Kiril's ban in the EU, and not the Ortodox countries of the EU like Romania, Greece or Bulgaria, which remained quiet.

I'm a Brit and in my opinion we shouldn't be involved in this conflict in any way. The Ukraine is not a part of NATO or the EU and we should stay well out of any religion or churches views.

Sanctioning a Christian church was a really bad idea. While the different sects and orthodoxies may still argue over some beliefs, they are far more friendly these days than a couple 100 years ago.

I respect those who serve God truthfully and live in His word; they've nothing to lose nor fear, even if the whole of all humanity rebukes and persecute them. I've converted to Christianity over a decade ago and I still am to this day; I WILL NOT bend a knee to petty, leftist yet man-made construct ideologies nor any so called "martyrs" who've done despicable acts upon society and innocents, but I WILL bend a knee to Lord Christ and humbly give my heart unto Him. No more, no less.
