Russian Agents Infiltrating Orthodox Parishes in the US?

Newsweek claims that the the FBI warned the Orthodox Church that Russian agents might infiltrate their parishes for the purposes of espionage. I share some of my thoughts on this development.

The funny thing is that the feds tried to infiltrate and agitate a local Russian church in my area and the whole congregation found it obvious. So, almost the whole congregation ended up trolling the fed agents.

I know a Priest, who knows a priest who received a call from a female parishnor at 3am in the morning, telling him she was going to commit suicide unless he met her. The priest had the sense to call the parish council president to come with him and thank God he did. The woman was staying in a hotel, and when the priest went to the door the woman opened it naked and jumped on him. A man with a camera was standing nearby. Blackmail can happen. and this was in the USA.

So, you know, about 12, 000 Russian parishes, give or take 11, 800.

As an American inquirer who feels drawn to the Russian Church, I'll pray that God protects His parishes more furiously than I do my McDonald's hash browns.

The general Ion Mihai Pacepa wrote in his old books, for example in "Disinformation" about russians infiltrating agents in US churches.

I mean it could be true. But we know the fordhamites greatly outnumber Russian agents. Either way, outside forces have always tried to sway the direction of the church.

As an Antiochian Orthodox member, the Russian agents would probably bypass our Churches.
I would like to talk to one of them, Russian agents, why ignore the Antiochians.
