ABOUT ME:
My name is Alyssa Matesic, and I’m a professional book editor with 7+ years of book publishing and editorial experience. Throughout my career, I’ve held editorial roles across both sides of the publishing industry: Big Five publishing houses and literary agencies. This goal of this channel is to help writers throughout the book writing journey—whether you're working on your manuscript or you're looking for publishing advice.

When I think of "pulling a reader through", I think of the big action scenes. I'm one of those who prefer a small build up vs being dumped into the middle of a battle. I know there has to be other ways to pull readers through but not sure what ways there are.

Thank You! Reader feedback is just as important as the mechanics of writing. Anxious, in anticipation, flipping each page, side by side withing the clockwork of a well oiled machine. Recalling an old song, One thing leads to another. Again, Thank You.

@AlyssaMatesic Can you help us achieve these if they're not quite as they should be?
