I obviously don’t know the details, but to me, The edit button problem is not a complicated problem. Could totally be solved by good UX to account for time of edit, historical changes, retweets etc

This guy doesn't understand what "open source" means lmao. By making your algorithm open source means you are bringing it to the eyes of the public and making everyone contribute a part of it. Every potential backdoor, backtrack, shadow changes would be seen. Albeit it is subject to the potential of forking or grabbing or creative loophole that no one has ever thought, still it increases general public trust to your algorithm.

I would also like to add that whenever you are suspended or banned, you need some sort of appeals process. And your reinstatement should not be dependent on how a mod or admin is feeling that day. They need to prove that you were doing something serious to disrupt the board or they should be fired.
