Master The Primary Assessment For EMT Class

The primary assessment is one of the most crucial EMS education lessons you can learn as an EMT. As an EMT your first priority in patient care besides safety of everyone involves is to find and treat life threats. We start our assessment by performing a rapid physical exam highlighting the airway, breathing, circulation steps. We will perform ABC in that order unless there is a clear major external bleed such as an arterial bleed we switch to CAB.
