One of them led theatre KAPOW to the stars, one to a post-apocalyptic operetta, and one to her unique brand of magical realism...twice. You cannot make a list of notable contemporary playwrights without including these three.

To close our shortened 12th season (that’s what SHE SAID) on a remarkable note, theatre KAPOW is thrilled to announce a very special panel discussion with Lauren Gunderson, Anne Washburn, and Sarah Ruhl. Three of the smartest writers working in the theatre today gathered together in one virtual space.

tKAPOW company members Carey Cahoon and Rachael Longo will facilitate a conversation about the role of female dramatists in contemporary American theatre and discuss the resilience, innovation, and creativity necessary to start telling stories on stage again.
