Embraer E195 E2
The Embraer E-Jet E2 family are medium-range jet airliners developed by Embraer, succeeding the original E-Jet. The program was launched at the Paris Air Show in 2013. The first variant, the E190-E2, took its first flight on 23 May 2016 and was certified on 28 February 2018 before entering service with Widerøe on 24 April.
The three twinjet variants share the same four-abreast narrow-body fuselage with different lengths and three different new wings, Pratt & Whitney PW1000G turbofans in two sizes, fly-by-wire controls with new avionics, and an updated cabin.

Airbus A220
The smallest jetliner in Airbus’ in-production product line, the A220-100, was built from the ground up to serve the 100-135 seat market with unbeatable efficiency and comfort. With broad seats, plenty of overhead storage space and large windows, it’s a single-aisle aircraft that feels like a wide-body jet.

The A220-100 is a new aircraft designing from scratch from the 21st century, the E195-E2 is an improved design from the late 20th century

I think A220 beats E2, but the price difference is huge, since A220 is 33% more expensive. So, all in all, E2 has the best cost-benefit.

People forget that the E-2 is not called profit hunter for nothing. To flies with 90-120 passengers, a great majority for those jets, the E-2 is just 40% more lucrative, fuel per passenger (-25%) and maintenance being the main reason.

A220 is my choice...overall in every category beats, and if you look why is A220 more expensive is Engines, It has 2 more engines, which is SAFETY!

The 195E2 kills the A220 with an unbeatable cost-benefit ratio. Autonomy is not relevant since they are regional jets.

I love the A220 but I would like to see Embraer make an ER version of its E2-195 to have the same range.

Each aircraft has a specific purpose. Me as a client I must define what I want... If I want low cost, less noise and maintenance, more profit, etc., then, I will choose E195-E2.

The E2, in terms of cost effective, is my favorite.

Fuel consumption is amazing.
The Embraer remains the best for short haul flights.

The A220 was originally Bombardier's C series aircraft, and Airbus bought it from Bombardier. To me, the A220 looks better, but 195 E2 is the more economical option.

Did I miss the price per unit? In terms of range and capacity (only 3, ore seats), the Airbus is better. If the price of the E2 is significantly lower then the A220, so its a better aircraft for short flights.

I wonder how many A320s are being cannibalised by the A220. Also a problem for the B737. Meanwhile we see B737 crossing The Atlantic instead of the big two aisle planes.
There is probably a lot of markets for the cheaper E195 in Africa and Asia.
