I was lucky enough to live in Laverton Vic Australia and the F111 was based in the airforce base 70-80s awesome as a kid hearing them💨💥🔥 😮🇦🇺

I got the chance to sit in an f-111 at hars was a very cool experience, a lot of really interesting aircraft and a very dedicated crew maintaining and looking after everything.

The stick also allowed you to pump water out of the capsule in the ocean, or I guess any other body of water.

Yea. The right hand seat is an EWO seat BUT the EWO can fly in case he needs to.

Colonel John Boyd absolutely destroyed the reputation of the f-111, The Navy knew it was a turkey and that's why they never bought it but they did end up with the f-14 tomcat
