Very good explanation thank you. In my culture virgin olive oil is the 2nd and 3rd press of the olives. It is higher in acid about 1.5%, has a much stronger odor and taste than extra virgin. As you mentioned extra virgin is the first press, you'll see first cold pressed advertised with good quality extra virgin olive oils
