ESL - Regular and Irregular Past Verbs

Groups of regular and irregular verbs can be learnt together to better remember them. In this lesson, Mr. P. will review each group of regular and irregular verbs' past and past participles. At the end of the lesson, he will give a list of verbs for students to give their past. This lesson is designed for intermediate students who wish to improve their English and those above levels who wish to clarify doubts about this topic.

Mr. P. is a Canadian English Teacher/Coach from Toronto, Canada. He has been an English Teacher since 1997, teaching adults and adolescents in Toronto and Rome.
He is an Honorary Fellow in the English Language at UNITELMA La Sapienza University in Rome. In the past, he was also a Language Monitor at the University of Toronto. He has also taught English to many important politicians and celebrities in Italy. He is a certified English Teacher specializing in TEFL, TESL, TESOL (Arizona State University) & TOEFL.

Still confused Sir.
Most of the Grammar books here in India describe verbs like build, smell, spill etc as regular verbs.
Those books clearly mention that verbs whose past tense end with a 't' are regular verbs.
Those books also cite the above verbs as examples.
Build - Built - Built
Smell - Smelt - Smelt.
