This Little Feat DVD continues our series of releases from the archives of legendary German TV series Rockpalast. Filmed at the Grugahalle in Essen in 1977, just a few days before the recording of their legendary live album "Waiting For Columbus", this DVD captures the classic seventies Little Feat line-up led by the late Lowell George at the very peak of their powers. Also featured as a bonus is almost 30 minutes of never before seen alternative rehearsal versions including material that didn't make it into the final show.

"Oh oh off our rockers acting crazy and with the right medication we won't be lazy". "You know that you're over the hill when your mind makes a promise that your body can't fill" -Old Folks Boogie. Spanish Moon, Cold Cold Cold are two other great songs. RIP Lowell and Paul Barrere.

Groove, dynamics, melody, harmonies, syncopation, soul, heritage ... Lowell one of my heroes, from one of my all-time favourite bands from my favourite era. So grateful to have experienced 70s music & film during my lifetime✌️

One of my favorite bands that was so underrated. Kings of syncopation! I wish I could have seen them back in that time.

I saw Little Feat at the Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, OK in 1978… I do believe. Love the congas ~ Hey ~ do that again! What a fabulous jam here… it soothes my transplanted southern soul! 😻

over the years, I started to realize the immense impact these artists played on our music...so much talk and hype about the Grateful Dead...not knowing how awesome "Little Feat" were.

Saw them in college in Boston in 1978. Amazing! The whole place was up and dancing. Left the show and got a scalped ticket to the late show and did it all over again. Maybe the best concerts of my life.

Good heavens, talk about the perfect combination of six overwhelmingly talented musicians converging together at the right point in time! Doesn’t get any better than when The Feat hit one of their fantastic funky grooves and just roll on their swampy, R&B, Naw’lins rhythms. This era of music in the 70’s was unsurpassed in its creativity. So sorry and jealous that I never got to see them during Lowell’s time. Sadly missed opportunity.
I did finally catch up with them when they reunited to carry the torch forward to honor Lowell and the bands history.
Thank god for film footage like this as well as a monstrous body of recorded work.
Rest in Eternal Musical Grooves Lowell, Kenney and Paul 🎶🎵🎶

I have seen every line up of this band since 1973. They were great with Lowell but great since and the new line up is sensational. Thanks for keeping this music alive boys!

2024, and I'm still loving this. These cats on this stage are loving it, too. Susan has a voice still gives me shivers . Love her.

In 1972 in SF CA, at the Cow Palace they played for a week with Doctor Hook and several other bands. It was a big promotion by a Pacific Stereo Electronics store. It was for a full week. The concert was an all day event that started around 10 am to midnight. I went most of that week. It was FREE!

This was fun. 😊
Little Feat could always ride a groove... and show just how talented everyone was.

Such a great Band. Lowell left us too soon and left a huge hole in the industry. These guys just jam, such a good vibe and it just worked. They were great then and their music is still great now. Little Feat forever baby!
