Queues ramp up at Mexican food banks as COVID hits the poor

An estimated 12 million Mexicans have dropped out of the workforce due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many are in danger of falling into extreme poverty.
Mexico City’s food banks are one way to measure the impact of the pandemic on the poor.

Theres no need for people to live like this, there's plenty wealth in Mexico for everyone to have, the people in charge just don't care, I bet that many people will be glad to help, but the moment they start to send someone else's will get the benefits due administration..

Oh 😯 it’s getting bad in Mexico my parent from Mexico. They do state though it’s mostly in the capital and the states 3 other states around Mexico City that have been hit hard. I hope people understand in Mexico people were being very ignorant about the virus 🦠 stating it’s nothing just a lie from government. Now that they have been hit so hard their crying. It’s sad to say this as a Mexican it hurts me but what can I do when my people are being hard headed.

Family of eight.... that's like that farmer era family pack like in my parents time.... I'm not trying to be condescending...been seeing and consuming news like this for the past 10 years out of high school....it's tough to suggest things like vocational training as a solution... or even something like a solar farm project... don't know how to help empower them at this time....i just don't....ideas anyone?
