I'm afraid the solution of question 8 is not right. Taking the square root of both sides of the equation is wrong, as the left side is not a complete square. The correct solution would result in two values for x and two values for y. The values for x are 0 and -4, while the corresponding values for y are 5 and -3.

The last question on the past paper was 2x+x which is -x but you wrote -3?? I got -x=0
