We meet Aaron Draplin at his day job as a designer at his studio, Draplin Design Company in Portland, Oregon. The excitement he shows about the smallest detail and the simplest design is beautiful.

I love that every time he saw something that had this fascinating story behind it he would just "hoo." Then jump right into the backstory.

Aaron Draplin is my new hero. I was trained by a graphic designer who could be his doppleganger.
You had to bring him a specific kind of beer to get his attention. Quirky. Awesome. Fantastic. Badass.
But Aaron - look at that energy! That design aesthetic! That beard! That dude is magic...

The camera guy is so out of tune here. Draplin is loving and trying to show every little detail and the cameraman just can't snap out (even for a second!) of his fixation with pointing at Aaron's face. Such a shame.
