Aaron is a graphic designer, author and entrepreneur based in Portland, Oregon. Skillshare features a few of his design classes where he shares his knowledge of the trade. He has also spoken at Ted Talks, Talks at Google, numerous workshops, conventions and universities across the USA.

At age 19, he attempted a design career but eventually went back to college to finish a design degree at Minneapolis College of Art and Design. After graduating, he accepted a job at Snowboarder Magazine and won "Art Director of the Year" for Primedia 2000. 2 years later, he took up a job offer as a Senior Designer at Cinco Design and in 2004, he founded Draplin Design Co. or DDC, for short. Throughout his career, he has worked with Coal Headwear, the Union Binding Magazine, Forum Snowboards, Absinthe
Films, RVL7 Apparel, South American Snow Sessions, with big brands like Nike, Esquire, Ford Motor Company and even the Obama Administration.

Aaron has authored a book, which is a mid-career survey of his works, inspirations, how-tos and advice, entitled "Pretty Much Everything". He also co-founded the Field Notes brand of memo books. As an avid collector, he talks about their ancestry in the short film "From Seed" on their website. Graphic design is his life and prefers to keep his company small to enjoy life with his family and friends.
