How to Fix Google Chrome Slow Website Loading | Windows 10

After some research and experimentation, I tweaked one setting that made Chrome run considerably faster. Your mileage may vary, of course, but this is worth a try:

Step 1: Click the Menu button (top-right corner of the browser, below the Close button), then click Settings.

Scroll down and click "Show advanced settings," then scroll down further until you find the System section.

Clear the check box next to "Use hardware acceleration when available."

Shut down Chrome and restart it.

I can't say for certain this will solve your Chrome performance issues, but it made a noticeable difference on my system.

Hello I can see that my laptop which is an Alienware 17 is not loading certain pages in either chrome or edge. One is amazon and another is a school site. For amazon it never loads and for my school webpage is a very slow load. Is there a fix for this? it only seems to be in my laptop.

You're saying to disable this and that but aren't saying the usage of the settings that you're disabling

@Manny Tutorials...Thank you so much Manny!! I took all the steps you suggested and it worked! My slow Google Chrome with Windows 10 on my Acer laptop is now loading websites just fine/faster. I had thought the slow speed/"Google not responding" messages were maybe caused by the couple of hundred movies (mostly Youtube old movies) which I had bookmarked in "other bookmarks" and/or the almost 2000 Youtube music videos which I have in my Youtube "Favorites" that might be slowing things down...but apparently not.

Funny thing, while I was doing these fixes google chrome was actually very good
