The Pultec EQs all share an exceptionally gradual curve which serves music perfectly, particularly mixed music. I agree they are the basic starting place.

Vinnie Vincent, he said "Bob Clearmountain" mixed the first, and best version of "Creatures Of The Night" an album by "Kiss" He also stated that Bob's version was the best version but "Kiss" Producer rejected it. I'd love to hear Bob's mix of that album. He's a true master of his craft.

I wish I knew enough about pul-tec technique to use 20+ of them on a track lol. To me, it’s always been that eq you use to fatten/tighten up low end or sparkle/lift the high end 🤷‍♂️
