@Simon the puzzle you solve iis not the one you open the video with! I did my usual pause the video, entered it into Duncans and had a go till I got stuck - then unpaused to see how you soved it - and it morphed into a completely different puzzle!!!

I loved doing this puzzle on my own when it was released and then seeing the different ways you were able to complete it. One thing I noticed at the beginning of my solve was that there's a 1/8 pair in r5c9 and r6c7, and that was one of the most important steps for me, so it's interesting to see other ways I could have tackled it. Keep up the great work, this is one of my favorite channels!

You solved a different puzzle! I took a screen shot from the start of the video, tried to solve it and found it quite difficult, and then you switched and solved an easy puzzle instead! Aargh! I really wanted to see how you solved the more difficult puzzle :-(

In this video you first showed a Sudoku puzzle, but then abruptly switched and solved another puzzle. Can you please reply and provide a link to the solution of the sudoku that you show at the beginning of this you tube video. Thanks!

The puzzle for Sunday (19 May) on NYT was pretty hard. It required an X-Wing and hidden triple to solve it. It took me 32 minutes to solve. It might be good if you have a go and show us whether it can be done shorter.

Any idea when your new software will be available? Or are there other current options for solving generic grid-based non-sudoku puzzles?

fyi: you can double click on a square to automatically add pencil marks without changing modes or using keyboard.

What software are you using? I've been addicted to sudoku lately and solving the problems before watching your solutions is always enlightening. I am looking for a blank sudoku grid that allows me to pencil in as well.

You need to fix so we can use the new page/software to enter our own puzzles so we don't have to use any extras on these old puzzles. And we can also use it on the daily new york times puzzles :)
