"Darul Farah" (how the Mosque is called) is an Arabic term that translates to "House of Joy" or "Abode of Happiness."

In the UK, Sharia law is not a part of the official legal system. However, there are Sharia councils and tribunals that operate within the Muslim community to provide guidance and resolve disputes according to Islamic principles. These councils typically handle matters such as marriage, divorce, and inheritance, and their decisions are considered binding within the community but not enforceable by UK law unless they comply with UK legal standards.

I'd say it was better it becoming a place of worship for another monotheistic religion rather than a night club say. It can't have been getting attendees if they shut it down. Stoke was my old home town, well 'Castle and there are other churches.
