Another con (for me at least) they can get really dirty and sometimes get clogged up with earwax.
So the left ear can sound louder than the right one. I've had to replace filter's quite a few times.

Edit: after using IEM’s for bout a year (daily) now, the quantity of earwax has reduced to almost none. I also don’t have to clean my IEM’s as regularly anymore.

Solution: buy a Bluetooth adapter like the KZ AZ09 Pro which I have.

Yea they’re way too loud
With my over ear headphones my volume never goes below 80. With my iem it never goes over 50.

They also can stop producing audio if exposed to moisture and dirt. So keep your ears clean and don’t wear them for too long without a break
