I remember when the F22 was first announced and then rolled out. They were the coolest thing. But with time people started saying that they were too expensive, had too many problems, and were simply too advanced. This was also at a time when the Predator drones were still a big deal, there were discussions as to whether tank warfare was still relevant (that certainly didn't age well). Questions and imaginations around the changing nature of warfare were prominent.

And now here we are in 2024/near 2025. Drone warfare is still largely primitive. Tank warfare is on display with an intensity said to rival that of WW2. And these birds - the F22, F35, and so forth - are still flying and very relevant.

We should've built at least another 250 of these! Stupid decision stopping the program prior to having 350 Active F-22A Fighter Fleet. Cause even right now we are over extended with the F-22, and it is the only Jet in active Inventory that is stretched thin.

On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, I propose the development of a "Nth Generation Air Dominance (NGAD)" system. The technology required for this initiative exists today or should be initiated. The proposal entails the creation of a tier-one fighter vehicle capable of launching from ground level, such as an airport, and continuing into space (i.e., Earth-Low Orbit, ELO). It is likely to be a large vehicle, the same for tier two.

This development package consists of three tiers. The second tier involves a space drone (tier-two) that can also take off from terrestrial sites and penetrate into space. Its primary function would be to refuel and arm the tier-one fighter and tier-two, respectively. Additionally, it would be equipped to defend itself during space operations, supported by terrestrial fighter escorts.

The third tier would be a larger vehicle designed to serve both the tier-one and tier-two units. This larger vehicle would provide defensive support for itself and the two subordinate tiers. The development team would decide whether to refine this initial configuration further.
