For those who haven't realized yet, the US defines hypersonic missiles differently than China and Russia. China and Russia define hypersonic as a speed achieved at some point during flight. The US defines it as sustainable speed throughout it's flight bath while still being able to maneuver in atmosphere, unlike the Kinzhal, which can achieve hypersonic speeds in atmosphere but it does it when it's nearly out of fuel and is a ballistic missile meaning it's flight path is incredibly easy to predict and that's why the US hasn't had problems stopping it.
