The Zelda: Skyward Sword Randomizer shuffles all of the items around, and also make the entire game Open World! It's absolutely crazy..

Stay tuned for the next Randomizer Part, dropping next week on this channel! 👀
Also before I get flamed by the YouTube Comment Section, Let me just state my opinion about Skyward Sword here:

It's a decent game. Story and Music is amazing, some of the dungeons have great game designs. There is a lot to like about Skyward Sword, and if you love this game more power to you, I wish I could see Skyward Sword out of your eyes LMAO

I have also played the HD version and does think that the motion controls are much better there, sadly the Randomizer doesn't support that version. For me, I find that this game has a LOT of repetition, way too slow of an early game, bad stamina system, and the motion controls on the Wii Version does get better once you are used to them, but every now and then when they do fail, or when you need to re-calibrate the controller, it just feels frustrating because motions controls add in my opinion 0 value, and only the occasional frustration factor which takes me out of the enjoyment.

Something else to keep in mind, I am playing this on an emulator, which is worse than it is on the Wii.

I think people saying this game would only be good if it didn't have motion controls are wrong, you should give it another chance if that was the reason you didn't like it, it gets better with time trust me, and the HD version does it way better. I remember talking to Gymnast about the Motion Control (one of the best Skyward Sword Speedrunners in the world), and he told me this "I think Nintendo designed the motion controls around how they imagined that the most natural way would be to control the character and sword, so if your mentality and assumption matches how Nintendo envisioned it, you will have no issue with it. But for players that have a different perspective or play style in how things should control, it will cause frustration". And I 100% agree with that, I have completed Skyward Sword twice casually, the first time I really hated how the game controlled, but once I tried to control the game in a way that I felt the game "wanted me to", it went from "I HATE THIS" to "This is okay". That doesn't mean it doesn't frustrate me at times, and thankfully the HD version does allow me to swing the joycons in a more natural way for me, which is way better.

Like I said, its a pretty decent game with ups and down. Not the worst Zelda Game, but also not the best one. Feel free to leave a comment letting me know what your experience was with the game.

The reason that the gratitude crystals look exactly like star bits is because both of them are based on the Japanese candy Konpeitō.

I think a big reason why people like this video game is because they know how to actually play the game. Like they know how to use motion controls and actually play the game the way it was intended. Meanwhile the complaints are people who just flick the remote and expect it to respond when the game explicitly tells you to swing the remote.

Skyward sword is honestly a top 3 for me. It's always weird to hear people not like it because of motion controls, I never had a problem with them and usually the people that do are the ones that fling their remote around like a lunatic and not like, y'know? A sword.

I like that 10% of this video was filled with Linkus being salty at the game, and it all culminated in him smacking himself in the head with the remote and suddenly deciding it’s not so bad.

Can we all just take the time to realize that he obtained the Goddess White Sword on the Sandship as he was supposed to?

"Does it register it?"

Have you considered a proper swing? It's like when people complain about the sword fighting for wii sports resort and switch sports. SWING THE FUCKING THING

Canonically, this is the first Zelda randomizer

I love this game. I'm part of the minority that actually loves the motion controls. Playing it in a streamer setup is probably why you're having so many issues. You need to swing your arm like an actual sword

Played the switch version. One of the best Zelda games ever. The nostalgia and melancholy conveyed in this game hit me really hard.

I legitimately think that the whole motion controls thing is a skill issue. I never once had a problem with any of it😂🤣🤣

I've never seen a man so ferociously mangle his GameCube Controller for demonstration purposes before

I won’t lie

Every person in real life that I’ve heard complain about motion controls either executes them horribly wrong (like putting the motion tracker in the worst place humanly possible, or standing/sitting one foot away from the tracker which isn’t how it works which I can see Linkus is clearly doing😂), or take ZERO CARE of their controllers, slamming them on shit, swinging them hyper aggressively, throwing them, and so on.

I can count on one hand the amount of times in my 15+ years of playing motion control games where the motion tracking was wonky, and it was *usually* my fault. 1 or 2 exceptions of just buggy shit, but that’s hardly anything.

I’m convinced people who complain about motion controls just have a serious skill issue, sorry not sorry. 🤷🏼‍♂️

“I SWUNG AND IT DIDN’T REGISTER!!!”
*meanwhile the swing in question:* literally moves the controller like two inches while also being right next to the motion tracker

I feel like this video is the classic "man is bad at game and says game is bad because of it"

15:04 In my first playthrough of Skyward Sword, I ran around in circles on this tiny island for 10 minutes before I finally noticed that door. Glad I'm not the only one...

Skyward sword is a very fun game though once the HD version ironed out all of its weird kinks. You make the texts scroll way faster, tighten up the scripts, make all cutscenes skippable, and give us traditional controls, the game suddenly cuts down about 10 hours of fluff.

The game just has loads of little details you can appreciate. The entire game's regions are designed like one big dungeon to explore too. Granted, not all regions are created equal but even on the wii version, the level design stood out in a good way.
