I was legit saying "thank you Demise, much appreciated" when he said he'd wait for me to get ready for our battle. I was really REALLY worried I'd have to continue on after both the monster hoard and Girahim. I was honestly so grateful for the demon king wanting chance farest fight.

One other thing I love about ghirahim fights is the player/link's progression. I imagine first time players are just getting the hang of the motion controls, but are hardly experts. The fact that ghirahim in phases one and two can steal your sword if you get caught in his defense too long is a brilliant moment of fear and confusion as you feel totally powerless. By the second fight the player has gotten to a point where the fight is challenging, but you're more on equal ground. By the end you feel like a master as you've slaughtered around a hundred bokoblins and are now overwhelming him as you as a player have mastered the blade.

The way Link finishes Demise is one of the most powerful moments in Zelda history. Such an amazing boss fight <3

"You idiot we all got

Man... The Imprisoned had such potential to be one of the coolest concepts of a boss in potentially the entire series! I definitely agree with your point about the third encounter being the only time would have worked really well.

Demise is an unmatched number 1 for me. THE Zelda Boss! 🔥

Something no one argued about in the original SS was Koloktos being an epic boss, I'm glad many more people get to enjoy this amazing boss battle with the HD remake/remaster

When Fi said that the Aracha continually grow larger and can live for 1000 years I was like "Oh no, that's going to be the boss isn't it?"

I wasn't surprised to see Koloktos at the top of the list. It's an excellent boss, one of my favourites in the series too.

Really wish there was a time shift stone to use against Moldarach, and it just turns into an arach

Fun Fact: Koloktos's child laugh is also in Splatoon. At night on the Museum D'Alfonsino map, there are two statues that can be heard laughing on opposite ends of the map.

You’ve never played skyward sword interactively until you play with the controls divided between two people. It’s a teamwork that makes it much more difficult but more rewarding

“At least the fight is relatively quick” and there I was throwing bombs for what felt like at least half an hour, not realizing it had to eat them to take any damage

Look: the Imprisoned is slow as hell WHEN YOU FIGHT HIM THE NORMAL WAY. So don't.

Jump onto his head *while he's walking upright* and just hit the pillar into his head that way. Use a single down swing then do a spin attack downward, that'll make the fight a lot quicker.

The Imprisoned doesn't have to be a slow-as-a-slug boss fight where you just keep hitting his toes until he dies. Trust me.

I still feel Tentalus is a Monsters Inc. reject. Celia's lost cousin or something. One thing I'm not a fan of in Zelda's boss design is "massive colorful eyeball". It's almost ridiculous at this point, especially how they felt the need to retrofit giant balloon eyes on Majora's Masks bosses for the "remake". Thank god the Ganon Blights do have eyeball weakpoint, but it's tiny.
With that said, I don't have an issue with monsters that ARE an eyeball. Like Vaati or something.

"After enough damage has been done, Koloktos literally steps it up."
My new favorite Zeltik quote.

I'm honestly biased towards Ghirahim at number one because he's such a fun and awesome villain that I both hate for his actions in-game and love for his personality, design, and fights. Can't wait to fight him in HD and turn the fabulousness up to 11!

I think Ghirhaim final form and Demise are tied at first for me. The bosses are punishing if you still aren't comfortable with the motion controls and parrying. Not to mention how satisfying it is to steal Demise's lightning.

I might get a lot of hate for this. But I personally enjoyed Skyward Sword more than BOTW. I preferred the storyline and the fact it had superb fully fleshed out dungeons with incredible boss fights. That’s what Zelda is all about IMO

for the record, it is possible to deal the finishing blow to Demise in the first cycle, but it takes perfect timing. In the same way, if you wait too long, he will evade the second attempt and get progressively slower each time he is knocked down.

I love how the first two worst ones are actually legit the worst. But more so they are a fiery Mike Wazowski, and what seems like his very overweight now ex girlfriend who storms the seas.
