I'm glad Gnome has reached a point where they are slowly adding features that are well thought out and carefully improving the settings so that they integrate quite well. While there are still a few features I prefer to have I can easily add them with tweaks and extensions. I think it's a nicer workflow than other desktops that have a billion options that I never use or would have a hard time finding.

The only thing I find missing across desktops would be an application that lets you create a custom keyboard layout like you can in QMK editors. Gnome will show you different language layouts and let you add a custom one, but you would have to hand create one in a markup language to add it.

Really enjoying the Gnome 44 experience on Gecko Linux Rolling. Just curious if you are still using Nobara as your daily driver. If so, could you share your normal work flow? The Linux Experience did recently and it really helped me get a feel for the UX and practical applications. Maybe after Nobara updates to match Fedora 38?

Amazing video as always but the one thing that caught my eye was the overamplification part. Overamplification has been around in gnome for a long time out-of-the-box it isn't a new feature

I'm happy that I use Fedora so now I don't have to wait to have those important addition (which some of those should be there in the first time)

GNOME is really starting to be extremely visually appealing, but MAN they gotta do something about the black taskbar. Like anything. Theme it a little. Maybe bring back some transparency. If they could give it a frosted glass look like Windows 11 and Plasma, it would look really sharp.

The overamplification setting was already available in older gnome versions. It is nothing new. I use it all the time.
