It is a great sport. I use to teach it to my P E students and when they caught on to it, they loved it. We had tournaments for the best singles player and doubles teams. We had competition between classes and gave away trophies. We even had a pickleball queen. hahaha What a great sport.

Is one bounce optional? Sometimes I see direct hits back, other times a single bounce.

My dad (92) plays Pickleball daily for a couple of hours. Great exercise!

Hubby and I absolutely LOVE this sport! (74 and 70 yrs respectively). I try to play every day Spring to Fall! Then our group moves indoors for inclement weather and winter!

I have a question regarding the server position during a doubles game. Let’s say the score is 3 2 2 and team B faults and the server returns to Team A. Score is now 2 3 1. Which side does Team A Server 1 serve from? Left or right side? Is it based on an odd or even score that determines which side Sever 1 serves from?

I moved to Utah, and it's become a craze here. So I see it's just a slowed down version of tennis. Makes sense why older people are excited about this.

Where did it get the name pickleball? Is a pickle a way of hitting the ball? Was the person who came up with it named pickle?

so is it just your feet that have to be behind the kitchen line? assume you could take the ball in the air in front of it since that would be impossible to call w/any accuracy/precision?

Is the court the same size as a tennis court? What about the "kitchen" line? Is that the same distance as in tennis? Pickleball looks like an easier game of tennis with different rackets and ball (and some different rules so that you can't smash), all of which would have the ball travel slower than in tennis. Overall it looks great for anyone who can't handle the physicality of tennis.
