in english the saying is, "revenge is a dish best served cold." its meaning is, do not respond to an attack impulsively or in the heat of the moment but take the time to allow a more dispassionate and meticulous plan of retribution that will have the most effective impact on the enemy. i have been impressed by the leaders of iran, russia and china for their ability to repeatedly respond to continuous western provocations in just such a manner so as to prevent global warfare.
