Israel Vows Revenge After Iran's Massive Drone Attack | Subscribe to Firstpost

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu reconvened the War Cabinet meeting in Tel Aviv after Iran fired a barrage of drones towards Israel on April 14 evening. Iran launched the attack over a suspected Israeli strike on its consulate in Syria on April 1 that killed top Revolutionary Guard commanders. Israeli war cabinet minister Benny Gantz has said that Israel will "exact a price from Iran," following Iran's unprecedented drone and missile attack. While overnight the assault caused minimal damage due to Israel's defence capabilities, Gantz has said that "this event is not over." Meanwhile, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said that Israel has an opportunity to form a strategic alliance against Iran. The Iranian barrage, comprising hundreds of projectiles from Iran, Iraq, and Yemen, targeted Israeli cities. Though largely intercepted with allied assistance, a girl sustained shrapnel injuries. The escalation raises tensions amid Israel's Gaza assault, which has killed thousands.
