The answer to his question is that God can change his will, knowledge of Allah is His knowledge, and His will is His will. Allah can change the outcome based on His will.

This is one of the familiar problems with Indian Hindus, especially from South India. they are pretty intelligent in most fields except theology and philosophy. And you may find them insincere in not keeping up with their word and repeatedly going in circles, to prove their point.

The hindu seems to be asking if Allah has knowledge of something that will happen in future, but wills to change it, then isnt this contradictory. But that is clearly a logically wrong question bcos change involves points in time, Allah/God is outside of time, so for Him past, present, future (time) are just His creation so there is never a need to change His will.

the question is missing an important point

Allah's knowledge encompasses all which means his will is all. its a contradictory point to say his will will be outside knowledge because his knowledge includes everything there is nothing outside of it. there is no choices paths or possibilities outside of his Knowledge.
