At one of his concerts an audience member asked him to play "Daniel" in memory of his brother. Sir Elton John didn't skip a beat, he sat down at his piano and played it heart and soul. It was incredible. What makes it so touching is that _everyone_ has a Daniel in their lives, in one way or another.

I went to an outdoor concert in San Francisco (Outside Lands) where he was the headliner. What blew my mind was that everyone in the multi-generational, multi-ethnic, multi-everything crowd was on their feet, dancing and singing along. That's a true world artist. And by the way, he and his original band were on stage and they were smokin' hot. I had the time of my life.

My sister gave me a ticket to watch Elton John perform in Porto Alegre-RS, Brasil, my birthplace. It was in my beloved football club stadium. James Taylor opened for him, so I got to watch two wonderful gigs in one night. When Elton's concert finished, people around me started to sing the anthem of Internacional Sport Club since it was April 4th, its foundation anniversary. It was a magical night.

Love this! I first started listening to Elton when I was a teenager. His second album "Tumbleweed Connection" is my favorite - all the songs on it are fantastic. I was lucky to have seen him twice in concert.
