When Obama was first elected, my daughter was just a little younger than the girls, and she wanted to put together some presents for the two of them when they moved into the White House - I think it was bubbles and some crayons? And so we packaged it up and sent it in the mail to Sasha and Malia. Not really thinking anymore about it, one day my daughter got a letter in the mail from Michelle Obama thanking her for her thoughtfulness. She was overjoyed and we will forever feel a very special connection to the First Lady 🥰 (It was most likely just her office, but we don’t care!) It was so wonderful ❤
