How to reset your new combination padlock

Just bought a simple, cheap number padlock from Mr DIY store in my country. Thanks to this video, I managed to set my own padlock number from the default 000 code.

I believe this would be useful but unfortunately my lock seems to have a problem actually locking, like, it doesnt lock and remains unlocked because i cant push the shackle in, any tips?
