Hi there, helpful videos, i have just purchased one of your IPA kits. I was just wondering about adding the hops, as on the instruction leaflet provided with the kit it says do not stir the bucket when you add them. Does it matter either way?

Hi Richard, I added boiling water to my jug of hop pellets and the water was immediately absorbed, turning it into a mush. There's no way I can pour any water out as it's all absorbed. Two questions: 1) why did this happen? and 2) is it still safe to add this to my brew? I'm worried that it's too much water or that this wasn't meant to happen and might damage my brew.

I'm in the same boat ! I am brewing golden rocket, my pellets went into a porridge (the smell was lovely), but the insructions were clear - DO NOT STIR, but you say stir the entire brew . Talking as an idiot, it would have been nice if the instructions were idiot proof .
