I’ve been doing IT for about 3 years now it’s great role for moving forward. My current position has me working towards becoming a security engineer. My current base salary is 85k in NYC. No degree just certs

Update: Lvl 2 Tech now total comp last year was 110k, this year its looks like 120-130k. Will be rotating to Europe to do cybersecurity training as well as working on some Jira development.

I'm a level 3 Cloud Support Engineer, half my job is research and the other half is meetings. Less than 1% of the time do I get to actually solve an issue. Can't argue with the pay though.

I’m a 25B (IT) in the army with security +, NET +, and CCNA, I was just curious would that set me up for higher end jobs? Idk if a top secret security clearance would make a difference?

I am the only High School Tech, my salary before taxes is 44K, I have a Computer Information Systems degree and it's my first job in either Tech or the school district, but have worked a retail job for 7+ years, should I be contempt with what they are paying or should I ask for a raise?
